Master Bath Retreat

Rest & Relaxation- check and check! These two are perfect words for the feeling that you should have when in your own master retreat! All too often, the master bathroom becomes a neglected, dated part of the house where renovation is put off in lieu of working on the more public spaces. This was the case in this previously dated, 1980’s bathroom which has now been transformed into a dream master bath retreat! We cannot get enough of the before and afters!

How tempting is this tub?! The cast iron bathtub that we brought in has a modern look and feel, while bringing the classic look of a vintage tub into the space. It is such an upgrade from the old built in jacuzzi, with it’s beautiful, clean lines. It is the ultimate bubble bath lovers dream, which wins lots of points with all members of the family! The wood look tile and crisp, white plantation shutters continue the classic vibe and frame that gorgeous window perfectly! We had debated between doing a fun, patterned roman shade or blinds for this spot but ultimately chose these gorgeous faux wood shutters which are clean and maintenance free, which we can all appreciate! We sure lucked out with this view and natural light in here!

We had so much fun choosing all of the accessories and hardware in this bathroom! We love an opportunity to mix metals in the finishes and did just that with the brass accented mirrors and chrome faucets throughout. In the shower, we chose a large, classic marble for the walls and paired with a beautiful marble hex tile on the floor. The clear glass door is so beautiful and allows the gorgeous tile work to be clearly seen and enjoyed!

We still cannot believe the stunning transformation and how much better utilized this bathroom is now! Once a dated, overlooked space has become a place of relaxation and beauty that is enjoyed every day! And lastly, a before and after….
